Decking the hallways with quilted artworks

The lobby of the Anlyan Center is now more colorful with the addition of a new quilt created by Art Place Quilters @ Yale, a group that includes both area residents and University employees.

The work, titled "Tumbling Blocks," is entirely hand-sewn and beaded, and took over one-and-a-half years to complete. It is one of the quilters' many works that now grace the walls of the Yale School of Medicine.

Irene Sherman was the project manager for the team, which included Janice Baker, Linda Borer, Helen Collibee, Terry Cuticelli, Lauretta Grau, Barbara Judisch, Jean LaCamera, Kim Roberts, Lorraine F. Roseman and Barbara Tracey.
