Elimelech will be honored for his pioneering work in environmental engineering

Menachem Elimelech, the Roberto C. Goizueta Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been selected to receive the 2006 Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors Frontier Award in Research.

The award recognizes the Yale scientist's impact on the field of environmental engineering and science and names him as "an individual who has advanced the environmental engineering and science field through recognized research leadership and pioneering efforts in a new and innovative research area."

A plaque and a financial award will be presented to Elimelech at the 79th annual Water Environment Federation's technical exhibit and conference in Dallas on Oct. 23.


Divinity School names new development director

Constance L. Royster joined the Divinity School as director of development, effective Oct. 19.

Royster's most recent positions were as associate director of development at the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and director of major giving at the WSHU National Public Radio Group in Fairfield. A member of the Yale College Class of 1972, she was part of the first group of women undergraduates at Yale. Royster is a graduate of Rutgers Law School.
