Play reading

The Initiative on Religion and Politics at Yale will host "Boots on the Ground," a reading by the original cast of a docudrama about the current war in Iraq and how the war directly affects Americans.

The reading will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, in the common room of Sterling Divinity Quadrangle, 409 Prospect St. Members of the Trinity Repertory Theatre from Providence, Rhode Island, will present the reading.

The play is based on over 150 hours of interviews with more than 70 individuals from Rhode Island, including soldiers, veterans, family members, teachers, doctors, journalists and clergy.

The Initiative on Religion and Politics at Yale, based at the Divinity School, seeks to foster thoughtful activism, enrich scholarly discourse, and deepen public conversation on the place of religion in public life, both nationally and internationally.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Harlon Dalton at (203) 432-9957 or harlon.dalton@yale.edu.
