‘Family Day’ at the Art Gallery

The Yale University Art Gallery will host a “Family Day” on Sunday, Jan. 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. The snow date will be Feb. 3.

Families will have the opportunity to participate in art-making activities and storytelling. Tours for children ages 4 to 10 will be available. Light refreshments will be served in the Jan and Frederick Mayer Lobby. Visitors are welcome to explore the collection, including many new acquisitions from the African, Asian, early European, modern and contemporary collections.

Asian American film festival

The Asian American Cultural Center at Yale will host the sixth annual Asian American Film Festival, Thursday-Saturday, Jan. 24-26.

The festival will screen feature-length and short films about “love, friendship and dreams in Asian and Asian American life.” An opening gala event will take place on

Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Whitney Humanities Center, 53 Wall St.

Screenings on Jan. 25 and 26 will be held at 7 p.m. in Rm. 101, Linsley Chittenden Hall, 63 High St.
