Change of venue for Waith memorial

The service of remembrance celebrating the life of the late Eugene M. Waith, the Douglas Tracy Smith Professor Emeritus of English, has had a change of venue.

The service will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Golden Center Lecture Hall at St. Thomas More Church, 268 Park St. A reception will follow at the Pierson College Master’s House, 231 Park St.

Waith, a leading scholar of Shakespeare and English Renaissance drama, died on Oct. 25 at age 94.
