The Yale Chapter of the Society of American Foresters at the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies will hold its annual Christmas tree sale Dec. 7, 5-8 p.m., and Dec. 8, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
A wide selection of spruce and fir trees from Yale's own forest will be available. The event will be held at Marsh Hall Lawn, 360 Prospect St. To reserve a tree, call (203) 432-8012.
The Yale Children's Theater will present "Captain's Cove," an original play by Yale junior Carolyn Wright, next month.
The play will be held at the following times: Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. and 9 pm; Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and
7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. and
3 p.m.

The Office of New Haven and State Affairs is sponsoring the annual campus-wide "Holiday Toys for Kids" drive, Thursday, Nov. 29 through Thursday, Dec. 13.
Members of the Yale community are asked to leave a donation of a new, unwrapped toy -- suitable for a boy or girl between the ages of 5 and 13 -- in one of the collection boxes placed around campus. Toys will be distributed to children attending The New Haven Boys and Girls Club.

The Yale Psychological Services Clinic is seeking individuals to participate in a state-of-the-art treatment program using a cognitive-behavioral group approach to help people overcome anxieties experienced in social situations, such as public speaking, dating or evaluations in the workplace.
The clinic is a clinical, training and research facility affiliated with the Department of Psychology. Group psychotherapy provides clients with a safe environment in which to learn and practice skills to help manage anxiety.
Pre-group assessments will start in December and the groups will begin in February. Potential participants will undergo a comprehensive evaluation to determine whether the treatment is appropriate. Individuals selected for treatment will participate in group sessions over a 12- to 20-week period. Fees range from $40 to $55 per group session, based on a sliding fee scale. The Peabody Museum of Natural History will host the grand opening of its new store, 10 a.m.-4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Visitors will be able to enjoy cider and dinosaur cookies and shop for unique holiday gifts from around the world.
On Sunday, Dec. 2, a program of nature crafts and gift making for children and adults will be held 12:30-3 p.m. Basic materials will be provided but participants may bring shells, pine cones, stones or other items to enhance their work.
