Meg Simpson '02 set a tournament record for rebounds during the Coors Classic in Boulder, Colorado -- thereby earning herself a place on the all-tournament team.

Freshman Edwin Draughan (Lakewood, CA) was named the first Ivy League Rookie of the Week. Draughan leads the team in scoring (15.4 ppg.) and is shooting 50% from the three-point range. He poured in 22 points as Yale went into State College and shocked Penn State, 87-74, on Nov. 18. He nailed 11 of 12 free throws in the second half to end the Nittany Lion's 54-game, non-conference home-court winning streak.

Sophomore Paul Vitelli (Morristown, NJ) is off to a strong start for the Bulldogs, posting double-doubles in three of Yale's first five games. He leads the team in rebounding (9.2 rpg.) and is second in scoring (14.6 ppg.).

Senior Meg Simpson (Marietta, GA) was named to the all-tournament team at the Coors Classic in Boulder, Colorado, after setting a tournament record for rebounds with 28.

Helene Schutrumpf, a native of Boulder, Colorado, enjoyed a successful homecoming. She scored 20 points and was 6 for 10 from the field in the victory over Bowling Green.


Women's Cross Country (2-0, 2-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Nov. 19 -- 13th at NCAA Championships (423 pts.)

Season complete.

Twin sisters Kate and Laura O'Neill (Milton, MA) both earned All-America honors for their performance at the NCAA Championships. Kate placed 11th, the highest finish ever by a Yale runner. She completed the course in 20:58. Laura finished 26th with a time of 21:13.


Men's Fencing (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Senior Tovia Martirosian (Richmond, VA) was named first-team All-Ivy.


Football (3-4, 1-4 Ivy)

Season complete.

Yale had four second-team All-Ivy football players: seniors Billy Brown (East Cleveland, OH), Ben Sproul (Centerville, MA) and Ryan LoProto (Merrero, LA), and junior Jason Lange (Hoffman Estates, IL).


Men's Ice Hockey (2-4-1, 2-3-1 ECAC)

Last Week: Nov. 20 -- Princeton 2, Yale 1 ot; Nov. 24 -- Yale 6, Princeton 1

This Week: Nov. 30 vs. Cornell, 7 p.m., Ingalls Rink; Dec. 1 vs. Colgate, 7 p.m., Ingalls Rink

Junior Denis Nam (Northfield, IL) scored twice and added an assist in the victory over Princeton.


Women's Ice Hockey (3-3-1, 0-1-0 ECAC)

Senior Katie Hirte (Cottage Grove, MN) made 36 saves against Connecticut, and junior Karin Tilly (Oxford, MI) scored.

Senior Brian Lavin (Guilford, CT) was a first-team All-Ivy selection.

Junior Ali Cobbett (Wallingford, CT) earned first-team All-Ivy honors.
