Yale Rep party

The Yale Repertory Theater will host an "OUTrageous Theater Party" for gay and lesbian theater-goers on Tuesday, Feb. 26.

The event will include a cocktail hour in the Rep Lounge beginning at 7 p.m., followed by a performance of Christopher Durang's OBIE Award-winning play "Betty's Summer Vacation" and a post-show dance party at BAR on Crown St. The party will feature reduced admission and free pizza.

Religion essay awards

The Center for Religion and American Life is accepting applications for undergraduate and graduate essay awards.

The center will award $500 to the best graduate essay and $250 to the best undergraduate essay written during the academic year 2001-2002 that addresses the theme of religion and American history.

Students may submit papers themselves or their professors may submit papers on their behalf. Entries should be sent by April 22 via campus mail to the Whitney Humanities Center, 53 Wall St.; via U.S. mail to P.O. Box 208364, New Haven, CT 06520-8364; or hand delivered to 250 Church St., 4th floor. E-mail attachments will not be accepted.

Institute of Sacred Music

The Institute of Sacred Music is inviting members of the community and their guests to a gala multimedia housewarming party to celebrate the opening of its new location.

The event will take place 3:30-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 409 Prospect St. Film, music, poetry and art will be featured. For information, call (203) 432-5180.


Child Conduct Clinic

The Yale Child Conduct Clinic is currently accepting children between the ages of 2 and 13-1/2 who are displaying behavioral problems such as lying, disobeying parents, swearing, cheating, not getting along with others and getting into trouble at school. For more information, call (203) 432-9993.
