The Women's Campaign School at Yale is sponsoring an all-day lobbying program on Saturday, April 6, at Pace Law School in White Plains, New York. Dr. Dennis L. Cooper, associate professor of internal medicine, medical oncology and surgery, will present a talk titled "Managing Myeloma" on Wednesday, April 10, at 6 p.m. in the East Pavilion Cafeteria of the Yale-New Haven Hospital, 20 York St. The lecture is free, but reservations should be made by calling (203) 688-2000. The event is sponsored by the Yale Cancer Center.

Harold Bloom, Sterling Professor of Humanities, will receive the International Prize of Catalonia from the city of Barcelona on May 22. Previous winners have included Karl Popper, Jacques Cousteau, Mstislav Rostropovich, Doris Lessing, Vaclav Havel and Richard von Weizsacker. The prize includes 80,000 Euro dollars and an 11-day tour of Catalonia. Bloom will also participate in a conversation with Nobel Prize-winning novelist José Saramago at The New York Public Library on Tuesday, April 16.
