Darren Beasley, a junior from Ramseur, North Carolina, had a home run, three doubles and 10 RBI in five games last week, for a .363 batting average. The Yale catcher and his teammates will play Cornell on April 13 and Princeton on April 14. Both games begin at 11 a.m. at Yale Field.

Junior Darren Beasley (Ramseur, NC) batted .363 (8 for 22) with six runs scored, three doubles, one home run and 10 RBI in five games last week.


Heavyweight Crew (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

This Week: April 13 vs. Dartmouth, 9 a.m., Gilder Boathouse

Yale's junior varsity boat also finished fifth with a time of 6:11.05.


Lightweight Crew (1-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: April 7 -- 1st at San Diego Crew Classic (5:57.8)

This Week: April 13 at Georgetown, 10 a.m.

By finishing first, Yale captured the Secretary of the Navy Trophy.


Women's Crew (2-0, 2-0 Ivy)

Last Week: April 6 -- Yale 6:05.4, Syracuse 6:11.6 and Cornell 6:18.7

This Week: April 13 at Boston University, 8 a.m.

Yale also won the second varsity and novice eight races.


Men's Golf (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: April 6-7 -- 1st at Yale Spring Opener (604)

This Week: April 13-14 at Eastern Intercollegiate Invitational

Sophomore Alex Fulton (Kingwood, TX) was the individual medalist at the Yale Spring Opener. He shot 73, 76 to finish with a 149. Senior Adam Cyrus (Huntington, WV) tied for third with a 151.

Season Complete

Sophomore Jamie Green (Los Angles, CA) and freshman Kathryn Fong (Brooklyn, NY) both qualified for the NCAA Regionals. Fong's top performance came in the floor exercise where she finished 15th with a 9.750. Green tied for 20th on the vault with a 9.675.


Men's Lacrosse (4-3, 2-2 Ivy)

Last Week: April 3 -- Brown 9, Yale 8; April 7 -- Duke 11, Yale 6

This Week: April 10 at Albany, 3 p.m.; April 13 vs. Massachusetts, 1 p.m., Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium

Senior Marko Lujic (North Haven, CT) scored three goals against Duke.


Women's Lacrosse (7-2, 3-1 Ivy)

Last Week: April 3 -- Yale 16, Fairfield 9; April 6 -- Princeton 11, Yale 5

This Week: April 10 vs. Columbia, 3 p.m., Johnson Field; April 13 vs. Duke, 1 p.m. (at Notre Dame); April 14 at Notre Dame, 1 p.m.

Junior Clarissa Clarke (Huntington, NY), who scored twice against Fairfield and once against Princeton, leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 28 points (18 goals, 10 assists).


Softball (14-12-1, 1-3 Ivy)

Last Week: April 3 -- Yale 4, Providence 0; April 6 -- Dartmouth 3, Yale 1, and Yale 2, Dartmouth 1; April 7 -- Harvard 6, Yale 5, and Harvard 8, Yale 4

This Week: April 10 at Marist (DH), 3 p.m.; April 13 vs. Columbia (DH), noon, DeWitt Family Field; April 14 vs. Cornell (DH), noon, DeWitt Family Field

In five games last week, junior Jesseka Bartholomew (Lake Forest, CA) batted .333 (6 for 18) with four RBI, one double and one home run. Her homer was a three-run blast in the top of the 12th inning at Providence.


Men's Tennis (13-7, 0-2 Ivy)

Last Week: April 5 -- Pennsylvania 4, Yale 3; April 6 -- Princeton 5, Yale 2

This Week: April 9 at Brown, 2 p.m.; April 12 vs. Columbia, 2:30 p.m., Cullman Courts; April 13 vs. Cornell, 12:30 p.m., Cullman Courts

Freshman Johnny Lu (Louisville, KY) won both his singles matches for the Bulldogs.


Women's Tennis (10-5, 0-2 Ivy)

Last Week: April 5 -- Pennsylvania 4, Yale 3; April 6 -- Princeton 4, Yale 3

This Week: April 9 vs. Brown, 2:30 p.m., Cullman Courts; April 12 at Columbia, 2 p.m.; April 13 at Cornell, noon

Junior Biffy Kaufman (La Jolla, CA) won her matches against both Pennsylvania and Princeton and is undefeated on the season with a 12-0 record.


Men's Outdoor Track (0-0, 0-0 Ivy)

Last Week: April 5-6 -- 7th at William & Mary Invitational (59 pts)

This Week: April 13 at Columbia Invitational

Yale had three third-place finishes at the William & Mary Invitational. Senior Thomas Stout (Millbrae, CA) was third in the 400 dash (49.17), freshman Lucas Meyer (Ridgefield, CT) placed third in the 3000 steeplechase (9:17.26) and junior Allen Czerwinski (Thompson Fall, MT) was third in the javelin (63.43 meters).

This Week: April 13 at Pennsylvania

Sophomore Rebecca Hunter (Florence, MA) and freshman Anne Martin (Auburn, ME) were both winners at the William & Mary Invitational. Hunter won the 1500 run in 4:35.71 and Martin captured the 3000 steeplechase in 11:20.79.
