Frontiers of Science

High school students interested in math, science and engineering have been coming to campus on Saturdays this spring for the Frontiers of Science program featuring presentations by Yale experts. On April 13, the program -- which is sponsored by the Faculty of Engineering -- included a talk by Dr. Dennis D. Spencer, the Harvey and Kate Cushing Professor and chair of neurosurgery, about recent developments in brain surgery , and a discussion by David Johnson '04 about the newest solar-powered vehicle created by the student group Team Lux.
