Born artists?

Yale affiliates worked with area high school students in the creation of the the artworks in the exhibit "On the Day I Was Born," on view through Aug. 31 at Artspace, corner of Orange and Crown streets.

The staff at Sterling Memorial Library helped the students locate the front page of their hometown newspaper from the day they were born. The young artists then worked under the guidance of David Pease, professor emeritus of painting at the School of Art. Also helping in the project were Yale Presidential Public Service Fellow Alex Budnitz '03 and undergraduate Lauren Meredith Burke '05.
