ASCAPLU$ Standard Awards were conferred upon six Yale faculty members.
They include Kathryn J. Alexander, assistant professor of music composition and theory; Martin Bresnick, professor (adjunct) of the School of Music; John G. Halle, assistant professor of music composition and theory; Ezra Laderman, professor of the School of Music; Frank Tirro, professor of the School of Music; and Jack Vees, operations director of the Center for Studies in Music Technology at the School of Music.
The cash awards, made by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, were based upon each writer's catalog of original compositions as well as recent performances of those works.
