Campus-wide toy drive will benefit local children

Yale affiliates will once again have the opportunity to brighten the holidays for a local child through the annual "Holiday Toys for Kids" drive sponsored by the Office of New Haven and State Affairs.

Members of the Yale community are asked to leave a donation of a new, unwrapped toy suitable for a child (boy or girl) between the ages of 5 and 13 in one of the collection boxes placed around campus. The toys will be picked up no later than Friday, Dec. 13, and will be distributed to children attending the New Haven Boys and Girls Club holiday party on Dec. 20.

The following are the collection sites for the campus-wide drive: Berkeley Divinity School and Center, 363 St. Ronan St. -- reception area; Yale University Health Services, 17 Hillhouse Ave. -- first-floor and basement levels; Office of New Haven and State Affairs, 433 Temple St. -- second floor; Payne Whitney Gymnasium, 70 Tower Pkwy. -- lobby; Reprographics and Imaging Services, 155 Whitney Ave. -- basement; Sheffield-Sterling-Strathcona Hall, Grove and Prospect streets -- first floor; Sterling Hall of Medicine, 333 Cedar St. -- rotunda; School of Nursing, 100 Church St. South -- reception area, student lounge and locker room; Woodbridge Hall, 105 Wall St. -- lower level; and Undergraduate Career Services (UCS), 55 Whitney Ave. -- UCS Library.
