Summer Camp workshop

The Organizational Development & Learning Center is offering a new workshop titled "How to Shop for Summer Camp."

The session will cover the general search process, how to choose a camp that suits the parents' budget and approval, and meets the children's interests, abilities and special needs. The workshop will be led by Shari Konn-Andrade, child care community liaison for Infoline/United Way.

ISPS events

The Institution for Social & Policy Studies has announced two off-campus events in April.

On Thursday, April 3, 7-8:30 p.m., a public forum titled "Human Reproductive Cloning" will be held at 71 Vernon St. in Hartford. Participants will include Dr. Myron Genel of Yale, James Hughes of Trinity College and Adrienne Asch of Wellesley College. For more information, send e-mail to kathy.mallinson@trincoll.edu.

On Friday, April 25, 9:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m., a symposium titled "A Time to Talk: End of Life Matters" will be held at the Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Home, 70 Parsonage Rd., in Greenwich. The keynote address will be given by Dr. James D. Duffy of Hartford Hospital. Additional topics to be discussed will include "Ethics and Advanced Directives," "Hospice and Palliative Care," and "Artificial Life Support."


Breakfast at Dwight Hall

Dwight Hall will host a breakfast next month that will feature a special presentation on the state of undergraduate public service and social activism at Yale.

The event, to be held on Tuesday, April 15 and April 29, will update attendees on the new and innovative work that students are conducting in the community and their impact on the Yale-New Haven relationship. A question-and-answer session will follow a presentation on Dwight Hall's mission and work.

YUWO "Lunch and Learn"

The Yale University Women's Organization will host a "Lunch and Learn" discussion with Donald Margulies, resident playwright at the University and the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "Dinner with Friends."

Margulies will discuss his new play "Two Days." The event will be held noon-1:30 p.m on Tuesday, April 8, at the Long Wharf Theatre, Stage II, second floor rehearsal hall. Attendees may bring a brown bag lunch; coffee and tea will be served. The meeting is free and open to the public.
