YUWO "Lunch and Learn"

The Yale University Women's Organization will host a "Lunch and Learn" discussion with Donald Margulies, resident playwright at the University and the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "Dinner with Friends."

Margulies will discuss his new play "Two Days." The event will be held noon-1:30 p.m on Tuesday, April 8, at the Long Wharf Theatre, Stage II, second floor rehearsal hall. Attendees may bring a brown bag lunch; coffee and tea will be served. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Bildner prizes

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is accepting applications for the Bildner Prizes in Latin American Languages and Literature for Yale undergraduates.

The prizes are awarded for "high achievement in the Spanish and Portuguese languages and in Latin American literature." Four prizes of $400 and a travel prize of $900 will be awarded. The deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, April 17.

For complete information, contact Professor Noel Valis at (203) 432-5439, Professor K. David Jackson at (203) 432-7608 or Ginny Gutierrez at (203) 432-5439.

On-line parking updates

The Parking Service is conducting its third annual on-line parking update process.

In mid April, the service will send a Personal Statement of Parking Information to individuals who park in the central and science areas and have University e-mail addresses. Those individuals without University e-mail addresses will receive statements at their homes in late April.

Individuals who require no changes to their parking information need only review the statement for accuracy. No response is necessary if all information is correct. Those who wish to make revisions or corrections or add or delete a vehicle now have the opportunity to do so online. The April notice will include requisite information and weblinks.

Individuals who have not received any information by May 1 should contact the Parking Service at (203) 436-4374.

Life Balance Retreat

The Learning Center will sponsor a "Life Balance Retreat" at the Mercy Center in Madison, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., on Friday, April 11.

The cost of the event is $100 for members of the University community and $130 for non-members. To register, visit the website at www.yale.edu/learningcenter.
