Quilts, photos featured in new show

Works by Yale faculty and staff and by local artists are featured in the newest exhibition which will be on view Oct. 3-March 31 at the Yale Physicians Building, 800 Howard Ave.

The sixth in a series of exhibits in the Yale Physicians Building Art Place, the show includes quilts by Tristan Blakeman; the challenge quilt project by the Art Place Quilters @ Yale; and a breast cancer awareness quilt titled "From the Heart," which will be dedicated at the opening reception at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Also on display will be black and white photographs of New Haven in the new "Bridge Gallery," as well as paintings and sculptures.

The Yale Physicians Building is open to the public free of charge Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
