YUWO kicks off new school year with a lunchtime talk and offer of scholarships

The Yale University Women's Organization (YUWO) will host a "Lunch and Learn" talk at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The talk will be delivered by Margaret Farley, the Gilbert L. Stark Professor of Ethics and Religious Studies, at Rose Alumni House, 232 York St. It is free and open to the public. Attendees may bring a bag lunch; dessert and coffee will be provided. For more information, call (203) 288-9810.

YUWO is offering scholarship awards to women whose formal education has been interrupted or delayed and who wish to resume their studies or enhance or change their careers.

Members of the Yale community are eligible for the awards.

Applications for the 2007-2008 academic year may be obtained by writing to Betty Ann Levitin, 11 Debra Lane, Branford, CT 06405.
