The fair will take place in Commons, May 13-15. The event has expanded to include
almost all of the schools in the New Haven public school system. The goal of
the program is to work with children and teachers at all grade levels, helping
them carry out investigative, hands-on projects in order to promote skills in
critical thinking, the scientific process, technology and communication.
Mentors meet with students and/or teachers at the school for about one hour,
once a week if possible. Mentoring can take place from November to May, or during
a shorter time period if necessary.
