Sophomore Sada Jacobson, who is ranked No. 1 in the world in the under-20 women's sabre, has won the prestigious Jewish Sports Hall of Fame's Marty Glickman Award.

Sophomore Paul Vitelli (Morristown, NJ) scored a career-high 20 points in the victory over Cornell. He also had nine rebounds, two assists and three steals. Vitelli leads the Bulldogs in scoring (12.5 ppg.) and rebounding (7.8 rpg.).

Yale is 6-0 in the friendly confines of the John J. Lee Amphitheater, which is its best home start since the 1991-92 team won its first seven games.

Freshman Lindsay Page (Mukilteo, WA) had 17 points and six rebounds in the victory over Columbia. Sophomore Christina Phillips (Hartford, CT) added 14 points and six rebounds.

Sophomore Jamie Green (Los Angeles, CA) won both the vault (9.35) and the floor exercise (9.5)

Freshman Kathryn Fong (Brooklyn, NY) captured the bars (9.550) and tied with senior Caroline Pignatelli (Chatham, NJ) on the beam (9.275)


Men's Ice Hockey (5-10-2, 5-5-2 ECAC)

Last Week: Jan 11 -- Yale 5, Brown 2: Jan. 12 -- Harvard 4, Yale 3

This Week: Jan. 18 at Ohio State, 7:30 p.m.: Jan. 20 at Ohio State, 12:30 p.m.

Freshman Chris Higgins (Smithtown, NY) scored twice and added an assist in the victory over Brown. He also scored against Harvard and leads the team in scoring with 17 points (9 goals, 8 assists).

Senior Dan Lombard (Andover, MA) made 31 saves against Brown and 24 against Harvard.


Women's Ice Hockey (5-9-1, 2-5-0 ECAC)

Next: Jan. 19 at Boston College, noon; Jan. 20 at Northeastern, 3 p.m.

Sophomore Nicolette Franck (Burlington, ONT) made 35 saves against Brown.

Freshman Nicole Symington (Burlington, ONT) leads the team in scoring with nine goals and nine assists.


Men's Squash (5-0, 1-0 Ivy)

Last Week: Jan. 10 -- Yale 9, California 0; Yale 9, Stanford 0; Jan. 13 -- Yale 8, Denison 1

This Week: Jan. 16 vs. Trinity, 7 p.m., Brady Squash Center; Jan. 18 vs. Williams, 3 p.m., Brady Squash Center; Jan. 19 vs. Cornell at 11 a.m., vs. Wesleyan at 1 p.m. and vs. Fordham at 4 p.m., all in Brady Squash Center

Yale won all nine matches 3-0 against California and Stanford.

Senior Mike Schulte (Wellesley, MA) was a triple winner vs. Cornell and Navy. He captured the 200 (1:53.38), 400 (4:04.45) and 800 (8:21.52) freestyles.

Sophomore Paige Harazin (Scarsdale, NY) captured the 50 (24.97) and the 100 (54.25) freestyles and also was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.49) in the victory over Cornell.

Sophomore Chris Andrew (Norwich, CT) had the Bulldogs' top performance at the Yale Invitational, placing fourth in the 3,000 run with a time of 8:49.56.

This Week: Jan. 19 -- at Dartmouth Invitational

The Bulldogs had three individual winners at the Yale Invitational: freshman Vanessa Mazandi (Brookline, MA) in the 800 run (2:19.84), junior Kate O'Neill (Milton, MA) in the mile run and junior Laura O'Neill (Milton, MA) in the 3,000 run.
