Technology Expo

The ITS Technology & Business Center is hosting a Technology Expo in conjunction with CDW-G on Tuesday, June 4, 1-5 p.m., in Rm. LL1 of 221 Whitney Ave.

Selected vendors of computer hardware, software and peripherals will be available to speak with members of the community. Concurrently, in Rm. LL2, members of several ITS units will present brief seminars on topics of interest, including campus wireless networking, campus-wide site licenses, client-site copying and printing, and telecommunications. Refreshments will be served.

Summer singers school

Saint Thomas More Catholic Chapel & Center will offer a summer singers school June 12-July 31.

The "Schola Cantorum" is a series of five voice classes that are designed for choir members, cantors, song leaders and those who aspire to lead worship music, and are appropriate for beginning, intermediate and advanced singers.

Classes will include group vocalizations and techniques for a natural, free and vibrant singing voice, as well as musicianship and ear training, gesture and expression for song leaders; and text declamation and expression for cantors.

M&P tennis tournament

A tennis tournament for managerial and professional (M&P) employees will be held on Friday, June 14, beginning with a sign-in procedure at 12:30 p.m. at Cullman Courts.

The format will be "doubles round robin" based on level of play; contestants will compete with a variety of opponent based on individual skill level. Skill levels can be determined by visiting www.tennis.com/display.cfm?articleid=703. The rain date will be Friday, June 28.

The fee is $25 per person and includes play, dinner -- including beer and wine -- balls, water, official Yale tennis caps and raffle prizes. Reservations may be made by sending a check, made payable to Yale University, by May 30 to Susan Olenwine, School of Music, 435 College St., or Susan Olenwine, Yale School of Music, P.O. Summer courses in English

The International Center of New Haven is offering courses in English as a second language this summer.

Courses available will include "English as a Second Language (ESL) Level I-III," "ESL Review Class," "English Conversation," "English through the Arts" and "TOEFL Preparation and Review." All classes will take place at International House, 406 Prospect St. Child care services will be available for a fee. In addition, an "English One-on-One" course, offering eight hours of private instruction, is also available.
