Jennifer Staple, a senior in Yale College, has been selected as one of Glamour Magazine's "Top Ten College Women in America."
The academic scholarship requires leadership experience, involvement on campus and in the community, excellence in one's field of study and unique, inspiring goals. The award includes a feature in the October issue of the magazine, a $1,000 scholarship, and a four-day trip to New York City to meet with the other winners and with top professionals in various fields. Applicants were required to submits an essay describing their most meaningful accomplishment, a resume, an academic transcript and letters of recommendation. The winners were selected from more than 1,000 applications.
